AS Level — Year 12
Ages 16–17 · Lower SixthAS Level is the first year of A-Level study. Students typically take 3–4 AS subjects. In most boards AS results are standalone qualifications; in some they contribute to A-Level grades. Strong AS foundations are critical for A2 success.

Ages 16–18 · Additional qualificationA-Level Further Mathematics is studied alongside or after A-Level Mathematics. It covers significantly more advanced content and is expected or preferred by top university Mathematics, Physics, and Engineering courses.
